Good morning all
WOW!
What a wonderful weekend of sunshine we had
Hope you guys had a lush time out and about in the sun, making the most of it
God it really does make a massive difference to everyone’s mood doesn’t it?
Wherever we went this weekend, there was people everywhere
All out walking, cycling, running, sitting outside bars and cafes
It was like we hadn’t had sun for a decade
But it was so nice to see places full, people happy and families having fun with their kids
We also had the added bonus of the clocks having gone back, so this evening was lighter for longer
I was awake early with the sun shining through my window, up, breakfast, run along the beach, ready for a productive, busy day ahead
So all in all a fantastic weekendbeach pic
This would have been perfect rest, relaxation, recovery and massively de stressing for people
Spending time with loved ones, laughing, walking, breathing in fresh air and improving vitamin D production massively
Something we lack here in the UK, due to our poor weather and lack of sunshine.

The Importance of Vitamin D:

Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin, so requires a diet of good fats to aid with this, it is very important for the absorption of calcium, driving the calcium into muscles.

Calcium is vital to ensure your bones and joints are strong.

It is also essential for the maintenance of muscle, lean body mass and preventing fat storage in muscles and helps with fat burning , relating specifically to burning visceral fat, which is the fat inside the abdominal cavity, surrounding the internal organs.

Vitamin D also has significant anti-inflammatory and anticancer effects and a vitamin D deficiency has been linked to the development of diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis and autoimmune diseases.

Vitamin D levels need to be adequate to aid weight / fat loss as it gets trapped by body fat, thus causing a deficiency in overweight people, as the vitamin D is not released into the blood stream to be used by the body. Vitamin D deficiency is directly linked to high belly fat.

A healthy lifestyle and diet consisting of fish and lots of outdoor activity in the sunlight, should ensure we are getting enough vitamin D.

However our climate in the UK mean we don’t get adequate amounts of sunshine, plus when we do see some sun, we plaster ourselves in sunblock to prevent cancer, which then also prevents the absorption of adequate vitamin D levels.

Therefore, a vitamin D supplement is important for most of us, especially those who are overweight.

So guys, again I make clear here that a healthy diet, exercise and outdoor activity, like walking in a beautiful, peaceful environment are all things that add up to a healthy body.

When we do have nice weather, make the most of it!

Even if it is dry outside but you don’t see massive sun, the daylight will help with Vitamin D production so wrap up warm and get out and about

Remember walking lowers stress hormone cortisol too, so this is a win, win all round!

Lowering stress hormones, will also help with fat loss

So if you are in work and the weather is lovely outside, utilise your breaks to get out even if it is just 10 minutes
