Hi all, hope you had an amazing, chilled and fun weekend to wind down from a busy working week.
Ok so tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday and I’m sure you all love to have pancakes, well I am going to give you 2 recipes for healthy option pancakes. High in protein and low in fat and sugar and very tasty. Protein is a very essential part of nutrtion espevially if you exercise, as protein helps repair and build muslce. We don’t usually get enough protein within our everyday diets so it is vest to add a supplement. This doesn’t have to be boring or tasteless and can actually be made into yummy snacks and deserts. Chocolate protein pancakes:
Ingredients:
30g rolled oats
2 egg whites
1/2 scoop whey protein powder (chocolate or vanilla flavour)
1/2 tsp 80-100 % cocoa powder
1tbsp coconut oil
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl
Heat oil in a pan
pour the mixture into the pan, turning/ flipping half way through and shape
Add a small drizzle of honey to serve
Vanilla pancakes:
Ingredients:
4 egg whites
1 cup of vanilla protein
1 cup of rolled oats
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp coconut oil
Directions:
Mix all of the ingredients together in a small bowl
heat oil in a small pan (can use big pan and cut pancakes into smaller pieces)
Place mixture into pan on a medium heat, turning / flipping half way though
Add a small drizzle of honey to serve
