Ok so the weather is changing and some of us are more susceptible than others to frequent colds and infections. This may be due to a vitmin C deficiency.

Vitamin C plays a protective role in our bodies, it acts as an antioxidant and prevents cell damage.

Vitamin C is not synthesised in our bodies therefore we must get it from our diet. Everyones individual need for vitamin C is different and some people may need to supplement vitamin C to gain the best protection for their bodies. People with weak immune function, depression, poor healing of wounds, diabetes, asthma etc.

Best food sources of vitamin C are broccoli,  peppers, oranges, brussel sprouts, caulliflour, kiwi, papaya, kale, cabbage, strawberries, lemon and liime juice, raspberries,  spinach, green beans, asparagus, tomatoe, parsley and cranberries.

However a Vtamin C supplement is advised the RDA is 75-90mg, but a good 1000mg daily will benefit you most.

keep fit and healthy
